Lab Researchers Publish Paper on Teaching English Idioms using Friends in Journal of ELT Studies
We are thrilled to announce that our lab members, Jiani Wu (Associate Research Fellow) and Yundong Wu (Research Fellow), have published a new research paper in the Journal of ELT Studies!
This study proposes an innovative pedagogical framework for teaching English idiomatic expressions to English language learners using authentic language input from the popular sitcom Friends. The framework aims to help learners contextualize and master natural, everyday idioms to enhance their communicative competence and language fluency.
Congratulations to Jiani Wu and Yundong Wu on this excellent accomplishment!
